Back from the Fat

We moved cross country. We packed and unpacked twice in one year, can you say stress? I have been living in my head, disconnected from my body. Instead of being fit, I have put on some more weight by unmindful eating. I had a doctor's appointment last week, in which I was told, "You could stand to lose a bit of weight around the middle." Apparently my 'adipose tissue' around the middle does not bode well for somebody with heart disease in their genes. After two days of feeling murderous and suicidal simultaneously, I decided to take control. I am eating healthfully and more mindfully. My downfall is processed foods, those need to be cut out from my diet. My goal weight is anything below 140 lb. What I am doing to get there: Increased Vegetables and fruits Only whole grain, smaller quantities No processed foods Eating every 2 hours Drinking more water Daily Exercise Here's some of what I've been eating:
Green Smoothie: Strawberries, Kale, Celery, Granny Smith Apple, Ginger, Carrot Juice
Baked Eggplant, drizzled with Olive oil,  a little salt and paprika
Baked Sweet potatoes, with Lawry Salt(Free of Msg)
Voila!

Hello old friend


How quickly intentions melt away...life gets in the way, I get in the way. I am still far from being the healthy, trim and toned woman, I wanted to be at forty. Since I wrote last, I have been to India and back, packed up my family, rented our home and moved across the country to CA. My body/health has not been a priority, I have been living disconnected from my body..just in my head. I don't feel good physically. I have been able to settle the new house in a remarkably short time and have got both kids in school. A goes only part time M,W,F from 8:30 to 1:30. So now that home is settled, I am turning my attention to my own goals, I have two: Earn an income and Get fit. I will continue to chronicle my health endeavors here.

I'm back!

I completed C25K Week 7 Day 3 (1.71 miles), in 00:25:00, pace 14:34 min/mile, with @RunDouble http://rndb.co/72f4

I put on all the weight I has lost while I was in India eating n moms parathas for breakfast every morning! It was worth it ; ) Anyway I still have 5 weeks before my 40 th and both kiss started school today, so the quest is back. Goal loss 15 pounds. Never go more than a.day without exercise, drink more water, eat no unhealthy fat, easy on the sugar and white rice. Run every other day.
